Grieg: Peer Gynt Suite No. 1

The relaxing strains of “Morning Mood,” and the bizarre cacophony at the end of “In the Hall of the Mountain King….” We’ve all heard (and continue to hear) these two pieces constantly in pop culture, but I am guessing that most of my listeners have never heard Grieg’s original piano transcription of these pieces, let alone Grigory Ginzburg’s  virtuoso transcription of the last piece “In the Hall of the Mountain King.” Watch to learn more and please leave your comments under the YouTube video if you have thoughts!
